Roy A. Riddick

Roy Allen Riddick is a native of Elizabeth City, NC and is a licensed North Carolina Funeral Director and Embalmer. Roy is married to Capria (Cap) and they have a daughter, Bethany. Roy is a graduate of Gupton Jones College of Mortuary Science and College of the Albemarle. He is an active member of the International Church of the Assemblies of God Church. Roy joined Twiford Funeral Homes in February 1978 and his interest include music, reading and several sports.

Scott H. A. Willison

Scott H. A. Willison is a native of Circleville, Ohio and now calls Manteo, NC home. He is a graduate of Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science earning his bachelor’s degree. Scott is a semi-professional drummer, and he enjoys fishing, camping, boating, and antique tractors. He is a member of Halls Harbor Road/OBX Church of Christ in Harbinger, NC.

Presley L. Eley IV

Presley L. Eley, IV received a Mortuary Science Degree from Tidewater Community College and is licensed in North Carolina and Virginia. He worked for funeral firms in Eastern North Carolina before moving into the planning side of the funeral business. Presley has traveled all over the East Coast speaking about the advantages of advanced funeral planning and brings a wealth of knowledge in helping families plan ahead.

Presley was born in Portsmouth, VA, and currently resides in Tyner, NC with his wife and daughters. He is a member of Open Door Church and in his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family, camping, boating, and fishing.

Lauris Etheridge

Maintenance Supervisor

Lauris Etheridge joined the staff in 1984. He is a native of Wanchese, NC and is married to Delia. They are the parents of George, Jessie, Sophia, and Vela Grace. Lauris is a graduate of Wanchese Christian Academy and a member of Manteo First Assembly of God Church. His interests center around his family and church.

Jessica Tade Twiford is a native of Elizabeth City, NC. She is married to David Halstead Twiford, Jr. and has two step-children, Ragen Whitney Twiford and Spencer Linwood Twiford. Jessica graduated from Pasquotank County High School in 2004 then Elizabeth City State University in 2008, where she earned her Bachelors of Science degree in Chemistry. She currently lives in Manteo and is a member of Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church.

Catherine Suter

Catherine Suter is a native of Columbia, NC. A 2016 graduate of Columbia High School, she is a member of Gum Neck Church of Christ. Catherine enjoys listening to live music, fishing, and completing DIY projects. She loves to spend her free time on the water or hanging out with family, friends, and her dog Dolly.

Sammy O. Smith

Funeral Director Licensee # 85

Sammy O. Smith, Licensed Funeral Director has been with Twiford Funeral Home since 1957 in full-time and part-time positions.  Born in Spot in Currituck County, he has resided in Kitty Hawk for over fifty years.  Sammy graduated from Dr. W. T. Griggs High School and attended College of the Albemarle, Elizabeth City State University, and Norfolk State University.  He is a veteran having served in the U. S. Army.  Sammy is married and has four daughters, seven grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

Daniel “Tripp” Harrison joined the Twiford Funeral Home family after moving to Manteo from Florida, where he served as a funeral director. Tripp came out of retirement from the funeral services community when his wife, a family practice physician accepted a position here on the Outer Banks. His mortuary studies were completed at Miami-Dade College and he is also a pianist and composer.
